Many aspects of the production process can be flexible - performance directions can be as specific or vague as the client wants, for example. The overall sound of the mix is also flexible - if the client has a reference recording the mixing process can be completed with the goal of sounding like the reference recording. Most wind ensemble, chamber orchestra, and jazz projects are possible for a price of $500 or less, although lengthy pieces or pieces with extensive instrumentation requirements will likely be more expensive.
